We are looking into getting a new database that will have detailed information for each family lot, single grave, cremation grave, family mausoleums, and community mausoleums. We would like to be able to scan all our paper documents that go back to the 1850s into this database, and then search for whatever we need like we do when pulling a file out of the cabinet.

Do any of you have a database similar to what we are looking for?

We are also looking at switching accounting programs. We currently use QuickBook Premier Desktop for non-profits 2021. We purchased it through TechSoup. They no longer offer the desktop version. We can upgrade to 2024 which we need to do by the spring, but it will be a monthly subscription fee. And there are rumors that the desktop will be going away. Intuit wants everyone to use QuickBooks Online. QB Online is offered through TechSoup but from what I have read it is a difficult task of transferring all the data. What do you all use for accounting?

We also use payroll through our desktop edition. I do not like QBO payroll and will not use it. So I am looking for alternatives on payroll solutions.

Any info you can provide me about the above mentioned topics will be greatly appreciated. Our board has tasked us with finding solutions to these issues which will have to be addressed within the next couple of years.

        Thank you,
