We are pleased to welcome Professor Howard Lupovitch as our Keynote Speaker at the 8th Annual JCANA Conference.
Professor Howard Lupovitch is Associate Professor of History and Director of the Cohn-Haddow Center for Judaic Studies at Wayne State University. He received a PhD in History from Columbia University, and has taught at Cornell University, Colby College, the University of Western Ontario, and the University of Michigan, where he was also a fellow at the Frankel Institute for Advanced Judaic Studies. He specializes in the history of Hungarian and Habsburg Jews. He is the author of Jews at the Crossroads: Tradition and Accommodation during the Golden Age of the Hungarian Nobility, and Jews and Judaism in World History. He is currently completing a history of the Jews of Budapest and is writing a history of the Neolog Movement in Judaism.
