Dan:
At Richmond Beth-El Cemetery in Richmond, VA in 2007 there were 33 interments; in 2008 - 30; and in 2009 - 36. Since Janury 1, 2010 we have had 7. It is a bad winter. Three of those 7 were between 95 and 100 years old and one was 101 years old. We are definitely taking better care of ourselves. My grandparents died when they were in their sixties.

Take care.

We have stats for Cincinnati back to 2002. 2002 and 2003 were our peak years; 2006 and 2009 were our lowest years. Burials are 10% lower for th 06-09 period than the 02-05 period. The funeral director is not expecting this trend to improve in the near future.

Hi -
Because we deal w/ poor people only, we've had an increase in burials over the past few years. In 2009 our numbers increased by 8%.
